Midweek run

I had a slightly less than comfortable run with David this evening. Not hard, but not exactly easy, either. The pace, coupled with what seemed to be a higher than normal level of fatigue in the legs, made for a long workout. My plan was for 1h30 with some accelerations while David was just doing an easy run. The problem is that David is training for the marathon (so he is coming into some really nice form) and is a sub 31 and change 10k runner so his easy pace is a bit faster than mine. This is fine on shorter runs but for longer ones he tends to push the pace a bit (of course its all his fault) and we end up moving along pretty well by the end. This was especially true when we started talking about how Auburn blew the game last weekend...

Anyway, at least the weather was nice. It is officially fall here in the Valley as the weather has been spectacular for running. The high temps have been in the low 80s with overnight lows in the high 50s with low humidity. The problem, of course, is that the days are getting shorter and shorter which is quite depressing. Pretty soon daylight savings will come to an end and all of my workouts will go back to being in the dark which is just straight up depressing. Until then, though, I'll be squeezing out all the daylight workout opportunities I can.
